Below is a guide to the mortgage process when purchasing a home. The length of time may vary depending on how long it takes to find a home, get an accepted offer, and submit the required documents. This should be used for demonstrative purposes.

Application

Start by completing a Mortgage Application Online.

Documentation

Submit all the required documentation outlined in the provided checklist. Examples can be found here.

Secure Mortgage

The mortgage is submitted to the lender for Approval.

Mortgage Review & Signing

Once the mortgage is secured, we review the terms and conditions, sign the commitment and return it to the lender.

Lawyer Receives INstructions

Ten days before closing the lawyer receives the mortgage instructions from the lender.

Closing

During the closing appointment with the lawyer, he/she may review the same mortgage documents with you before closing.
